Friends!

This is my friend Brooke and her adorable daughter Zoie.

The four of us go to the walking track together.

Zoie is two months older than Lydia, but they are about the same size. 

Aren't they so cute?! 

The girls just had an amazingly cute fall photo shoot together.

Summer Fun!

Here are my sweet nephews swinging at the park.

Lydia swang with them in the bucket seat swing,

but, sadly, I didn't get a picture!

And here is Lydia in her cherry outfit from Gramma. 

                        This was taken at the end of August when she first started smiling big for us.

We sure do love our sweet, smiley baby!

Cousin Sleepover!

Alright, folks, we're going back in time,

back to August 24th.

Chris went away to school for the weekend,

so Jessica and the boys came to our house for a sleepover.

Here are the cousins snuggling and watching a movie (Cars, I believe).

 Lydia has such sweet cousins!

Truth be told, I think Lydia layed there five minutes tops! :)

Crib Sleeper!

Lydia started sleeping in her crib a couple nights ago.

I was pretty sad to see her go.

I suppose I can be a bit over-emotional at times. 

Let's just say I'm in BIG trouble when actual milestones start taking place in her life. :)

The boys snuggled with her before her first night in the crib.  So sweet!

She's been doing pretty well,

although she has been waking up more frequently than she was in her bassinet.

Oh well.

I have no complaints about my sleep-loving, snuggly baby!

I LOVE spending all my time with her.

That is why I've been behind on my blogging.  ha!

I'll try to get back into the swing of things.

One Lovely Day!

A couple weeks ago we decided to take our first family hike.

I carried Lydia in a backpack on the way in,

and Joel carried her on the way out.

She seemed to like it!

It was a pretty day at the Pocket Wilderness!

And here is Lydia relaxing by a waterfall!  :) 

The Frog Prince!

Here's Lydia with her crazy cousins!

If you look closely, you'll see that Josiah is showing Lydia a bullfrog.

Someone wanted her to get a closer look! 

Let's just say, Lydia may have already kissed her first frog.

Oh dear!

Caleb is such a jokester! 

Right now he enjoys calling Lydia "Pickle Head."

He thinks it's hilarious!

And here is Gramma teaching Lydia how to lifeguard. 

I think Lydia might be a little young to be lifeguarding and kissing frogs,

but overall it was a lovely day at the pool.

I'm a little sad to see summer go!

Lydia's 1st Hike!

August 11, 2012 was our church's picnic,

which was held at CSBC!

It was a beautiful day, so we took a hike out to the bluff.

This was supposed to be a cute picture of the brothers on a log,

but they weren't in the mood to cooperate.  Imagine that!

Heather carried Lydia all the way out to the bluff!

Impressive! 

Josiah liked to be touching Lydia most of the time. 

So cute! 

We finally made it out to the bluff,

and Daddy led the group in Rocky Top...of course! 

What a lovely view!

One neat thing that I thought of while on this hike...

Lydia was 6 weeks old, and that's how old I was when my family moved to CSBC!

I might have gone on this very hike when I was 6 weeks old! 

CSBC, what a great place to be! :)
