9 Months!

Here's my 9 month old baby!
She's a cutie!
We get to go to the doctor today for her 9 month check-up.
The only thing I like about going to the doctor is finding how much my babies weigh and how long they are.  It's fun to compare them.  I think Lydia was quite a bit bigger at 9 months, but we'll find out for sure today! :)

Puller-Upper!

Back on October 1st, Lydia and I went to get Anna Kate from her nap, and we found her standing up!
We were all so excited! :)
Lydia jumped in so she could be photographed too.
Lydia is getting so tall!!!
Now she is pulling up on everything!  Hasn't been too good for our sleep around here.  She hasn't quite figured out how to sit herself back down.
So proud of our sweet Anna Kate!

More Farm Fun!

I think Lydia's favorite part was playing in the corn with Ashley.  She loved filling and dumping her boots.
Here we are trying to figure out a digger thing...I don't think we should be construction workers. That's for sure!
Hay ride...with no hay.  Lydia was getting a bit worn out by this point.
Tried to get a good picture with the sunflower field.  That didn't go so well.
Tried again...no luck.  Ha!

After we had all the fun we could handle, we headed over to the Mayfield Visitor Center.
Lydia got to milk a cow.  :)
And we all enjoyed some delicious ice cream to end our fun adventure!

Mayfield Farm!

On Wednesday, Ashley and I decided to take the girls on a nice fall trip to the farm.  So we packed up and headed to the place our friendship began...good ol Athens, TN!
Mayfield Farm had 40 acres of fun set up for us to enjoy, and enjoy we did!
Lydia loved riding her own bike, even though she needed just a bit of help.
We went down a huge slide, which was thrilling!
There was a huge bouncy blob.
And then we went to check out our furry farm friends.
Lydia was not too thrilled.  She said she was a little shy of the animals.  Wonder where she got that?
But, just for the record, I pretended to be brave and fed the goats some grass.

Next up was a huge tractor tire swing!
Fun!
Check out this ear of corn made out of the classic Mayfield milk jugs.  The girls don't look too happy to be there.
The corn maze came next.  I'm pretty sure I could have easily gotten myself lost for quite some time, but Lydia found our way out after about three minutes (she just turned back around and we went out the entrance).  Ha!  She was pretty proud of herself!
That's all for today, but stayed tuned for the other half of our farm-filled adventures on Monday!

Lydia Lou!

How do you feel on this fine Monday morning?
Happy?
Or glum?
Ha!  While chatting with Lydia over lunch last week, her eyes were just glowing so I grabbed the ol camera.  She smiled once and then was done.  :)
Love to all!

Moon Sand (Take 2)!

We finally got around to trying out our second batch of moon sand.  This time we used baby oil and very expired flour...I guess I need to start making Grandmother's biscuits.  :)
The recipe I found called for 9 cups of flour and 1 1/4 cup of baby oil.  I think I did about a fourth of that.
The cool thing about this sand is that it sticks together, but if you touch it, it will crumble right back into sand.  Pretty neat!
We tried mixing in koolaid for color, but that didn't work.  Could be because I used a chewed on packet of koolaid.  It was kind of crusty.  Lydia was trying to get it open with her teeth at some point I guess...who knows!
Not sure why we did this in our Sunday best! Ha!
Lydia had a great time, but the sand still wasn't quite as magical as I had hoped...but it was better than the last batch.  Happy weekend to all!
