Our Christmas Eve!

Our own personal, family of four, Christmas didn't happen until December 31st!  It was the first day that Joel had off that we weren't celebrating somewhere else.  We didn't mind spreading out the fun though!
Lydia got some reindeer food at story hour, and we saved it to lure in the reindeer on our own special Christmas Eve.
It was oatmeal and glitter mixed together.  Lydia was so excited to spread it out!
She would throw it out,
and then she would pat it down into the grass.
Took her a while, but she was loving it!

Then we came inside, and Joel moved our mattresses to the living room floor.
Lydia was pretty thrilled!
They had quite a wrestling match!
Both girls (and Joel) were having a blast playing...except for the occasional thunking of heads on the wood floor.

Things finally started calming down, and we all happily dozed off to sleep!

December 29th!

Next up, we had the much anticipated "Christmas with Ash"!
Lydia was very pleased with her presents!
And so was Anna Kate, who had just woken up from her nap.
Her new favorite thing to do is to sit in this little chair that used to be her Daddy's.
I find her sitting in it all the time.  So cute!

More Christmas!

I'm back, and I still have four more Christmases to share with you!  So, where was I?  The day after Christmas we headed home from Chattanooga, unpacked and then packed up what we needed for the Gibson Christmas at Aunt Terry's house.

It's always fun to spend time with our sweet cousins!
Lydia could not believe that she got some new George episodes!
Anna got a cute little music player from the Traceys.
Aunt Terry added lights to Lydia's punch to make it extra festive.
The boy cousins love playing together!
Anna Kate was thrilled to wear Poppa's boots!
Here's the best cousin photo I got.  Notice I had to bribe both my girls with candy canes.
We had a thumbs-up great time!!!

January!

The girls and I made a handprint, or in this case footprint, calendar for Joel's mom.  I thought I'd share it with you each month.  So here you have January...brrrr!
We are still trying to recover from all our Christmas festivities over here!  What a whirlwind of fun!  Stay tuned for lots more Christmas pictures to come!  Happy 2016!

Happy New Year!

Jessica and Chris hosted a delightful New Year's party last night!
The girls even put on their party dresses!
Lydia was once again being uncooperative about pictures, so here's the best I got.  She and Eleonora matched.
The boys wanted to be photographed too.  Ha!
The fancy fondue feast!

So delicious!
Getting ready to toast with sparkling grape juice!
We watched a cartoon countdown on Netflix.  Perfect!
Thanks for helping us ring in the new year, Shibleys!

Habermas Christmas #2!

Back we went on Christmas Eve!  Christmas morning finally rolled around, and we all went downstairs to open up more presents!
This is the first present Anna took interest in opening.
She was loving it!
Her main toy was this walker, which she has really been enjoying!
Now it's Christmas morning here at this Habermas house.  We pulled out our mattresses (or as Lydia calls them, cushions) and slept in front of the tree, and now we're waiting on Anna Kate to wake up.  Lydia is beginning to get impatient....oh!  I think I hear her now.  Let the good times roll! :)

Christmas!

On the morning of Christmas Eve, we had Christmas with my family.
Anna Kate got a small stuffed bumblebee from Josiah.

Here are the youngest cousins enjoying a cool new toy.
Lydia got what she had really been wanting...a Peppa Pig dream house!
There were lots of Lil Woodzeez given and received!
Lydia also got her very own baby doll with a bed!
The boys were thrilled about these basketballs we gave them.  Ha!
We opened presents for the longest time and really enjoyed it!  I didn't get any pictures of the adults...we must have been having too good of a time!
In other news, it's Christmas Eve here at the Habermas house!  We are all (or maybe just Joel and me) going to sleep in front of the tree tonight and open presents in the morning!  Yahoo!!!  We're spreading Christmas out around here! :)
