Today we got to visit Mayfield in Athens and take a tour of the bottling factory!

Family Pumpkin Night!

Tonight we had a family pumpkin party at Lydia's school.  We had 25 minutes to decorate a pumpkin.  Before going to school, we looked up some ideas on the internet and decided to try to make an owl.  Good thing we had two pumpkins to work with, because the one on the left was a total flop.  So we slapped Lydia's name on the bottom of the one that kind of resembled an owl and turned it in to be judged.  Lydia and I thought we had a good chance of winning.  Joel did not.

After anxiously waiting, we heard Lydia.........Habermas!

We won third place in the Kindergarten/1st Grade category!

And just so you know, the cafeteria was packed!  Almost every table was full.  There was some stiff competition, I tell ya.

Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you our prize!

A free meal and dessert at McDonald's!

Lydia was thrilled, especially since going to McDonald's is on our list of fun things to do next week during Fall Break!  Only three more days of school to go....not that we're counting down or anything. :)

Anna Kate!

I've really been enjoying hanging out with my Anna Kate on Mondays and Tuesdays while Lydia is at school.  We grocery shop, clean up the house, color, do puzzles, and she still takes a nap!  We have such lovely, calm days together.  She's a good time!
