Fall Creek Falls!

On our way home, we decided to stop and see the falls again.

It was Steven's first trip to Fall Creek Falls!  I'm afraid he might not remember it though.

Since it was January 1st, there was a table set up giving away free bananas and water!  That was a thrill, as you can see on Anna Kate's face!  

Also, those socks are a nice touch to her outfit, don't ya think?!

Steven is 5 1/2 months old!

He is the sweetest, happiest, calmest, quietest, laid-back-iest, smiliest baby I've ever met!

So glad he's ours!!!

Chuck E. Cheese!

On January 3rd, Lydia's first day back to first grade, Joel came home from work and said, let's go to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner!  So we picked up Lydia from school and drove straight to Hixson for a good time.  

Lydia was very excited.  She thought she was a little too big/old for the rides, so she's making this face, pretending like she's not having a good time...really, she was thrilled.

Anna Kate was also loving it!

The girls were a bit squished as they doubled up on rides to save tokens.  This train blew smoke, which was pretty exciting.  

Sweet as hot chocolate.  

Riding this horse was probably Anna Kate's favorite part.

And I think this virtual skiing game was Joel's.  Haha!

Also, just for the record, I hit the jackpot on one of the games!  90 tickets came flying out of the machine!

I was pretty excited.  Joel told me to calm down...as usual.  Ha!

Good thing I hit the jackpot, because we only had enough tickets to buy two tootsie rolls and two laffy taffys at the end.  A good time was had by all!

Alright folks, time to catch you all up!

I don't quite know how to go about doing that, so I've decided I'll just start with the most recent pictures and work my way backwards...maybe?  We'll see what happens.

These are from the first few days of January.

Anna Kate looking extra cute in her new dress from Christmas.  She loves to wear tutus, crowns, and ballerina buns in her hair.

The girls freshly cleaned (rare occurrence here at the Habermas house) and ready to watch a movie before bed.

The girls helped me undecorate the tree after church.  They only lasted a few minutes but did a pretty good job clearing off the bottom half of the tree. :)

And here are the three amigos at church...one of my first attempts to get all three to match.

I used to think Steven was an exact duplicate of Lydia, but now I think he looks a lot like Anna Kate!  

Sweet Little Steven!

Well, looks like this place is quickly being taken over by Steven.

I'll try to move on to my poor, unphotographed (that's a joke) daughters soon.

But for now, these are my favorite....don't tell the girls.  :)

Happy Days!

Happy days are here again!  The good ol Cozy Cottage blog is back up and running!  Just a few things have happened since I last posted eleven months ago...most important, of course, being the birth of sweet little Steven!  I look forward to bringing you all up to date on all of our Habermas happenings, but right now I must go to bed...just a wee bit tired these days.  Small children keep waking me up at night!  See you all soon...hopefully.
