Free Finds!

At our church's program for mentoring moms, there are giveaway tables.  Everyone brings what they are getting rid of, and then you can take whatever you want for free!  It is so much fun!  I thought I would show you last week's treasures that I brought home with me.  Some of it I wouldn't actually spend money on, but the point is, it's free!
So first we have a dress for Lydia that will fit next summer.  I love it!
This dress and jacket are pretty big, but they will fit someday.  I like to stock up.  :)
Isn't she lovely?  :)
And here we have a nice sweater with a navy pleated skirt, just in case we decide to send her to a prep school for kindergarten.  Ha!
Two more pieces for next summer.  It's a real thrill to already have a bin full of clothes waiting on you each season.
Here are some vintage overalls for Anna to try out this fall.  Hee hee!
And a romper for next summer.
And look at this!  A fancy dress for Lydia.  She loves it and was pretty upset when she saw me putting it away in a bin.  What a find!
Sorry if this post wasn't your cup of tea.  I was just too excited not to share my findings!  :)

Brownies!

This is how Lydia looks when she helps me make brownies for craft night!
And if someone took a picture of me, I would probably look the same. :)

Sweet Anna Kate!

Anna slept through the night for the first time last night in her big girl crib (Is there such a thing as a big girl crib?  I guess so when you've been sleeping in a bassinet for seven months!), so let's celebrate by enjoying some of her cuteness on this fine Friday!
This girl can army crawl all over this house!  I find her at my ankles all day long.  She is about to start crawling up on her knees.  Watch out!  Things are about to get crazy over here!  :)
So smiley!
These are my favorite pictures of Anna so far.
And this is my absolute favorite.  What an adorable little model.  :)

A Day Outside!

Look how big my Lydia is getting!  Sniff sniff!
And so is Anna really.  She slept in her crib for the first time the past two nights.  I miss having her beside me.  Sniff sniff.
Lydia kicked that ball all over the yard.  Future soccer player, I'm sure.  Ha!
Lydia decided to be as much inside as she could while we were outside.  She loves to color these days!  And she still loves loading bags with random assortments of treasures.

Picking flowers from her "Datty's garden."
Not sure how he feels about that, but she's just so cute doing it! :)

Photo Shoot Outtakes!

Here's a glimpse oh how hard it was to get a picture of both girls.  There were actually a lot worse, but I deleted those instantly.  :)
So here we have some closed eyes...of course right when Lydia finally smiles.
Grumpy Anna.
Grumpy Lydia.
She smiles.  Anna stops.
This one just cracks me up because Lydia is so used to Anna pulling her hair that she doesn't even flinch.  Ha!
And here we have Lydia being "obedient" and putting her back against Anna Kate's...all the way til she squishes her down.
And even farther.  Oh my.  But Anna keeps smiling!
They're a mess I tell ya!

Habermas Hand-Me-Downs!

I wanted to get a good picture of the girls in these dresses made by their Great Great Grandma before they outgrow them.  Oh my word.  It was a disaster!  Now that Anna can do the army crawl, it was nearly impossible to even get her sitting up in the pictures.  And she is supposed to be my cooperative picture taker.  Shooo!  It wore us all out!

Much easier to do one at a time!
This dress was actually made for Joel...before they knew if he was a boy or a girl.  His mom saved it a looong time, so I wanted some pictures of Anna in it to give to her.

And this is my favorite.  Can't believe they are both smiling!  But it was the first day I was playing around with my new lens, and it is kind of blurry.  Boo.  Oh well!  Not attempting that again!  Well, at least not for a while. :)

New Camera Lens!

I got a new camera lens, and I'm attempting to learn to take pictures using the manual mode instead of automatic.  They say if I do that I will get better pictures, but so far that isn't entirely true.  I have no idea what I'm doing, so it's kind of hit or miss.  A lot of pictures are way worse than if I had just used my old lens in automatic.  Anyways, I'm rambling on.  Here are a few pictures I took of Anna yesterday evening while Lydia was playing with chalk.

She has started scrunching her nose up sometimes.  Cracks me up!  And if you look closely, you may notice her two bottom teeth that just sprouted!
Happy Monday!
