Lydia’s Awards!

Lydia graduated from elementary school. Sniff, sniff. 

She and I got to go out on a little lunch date afterwards to the Peking House. That was a rare treat! (Sorry my pictures are jumbled.)

Also, my mom officially retired! It’s been SO nice having her at school with my girls all these years. 

It seems like Lydia JUST graduated from kindergarten. Elementary school went by way too quickly, I tell ya!

Lydia had two of the very best teachers this year! She loved them, and they took such good care of her. Oh yes, and they taught her so much too! Lydia became a true math whiz this year.

So thankful Lydia’s had such a sweet bestie the past six years. Caroline has really helped Lydia enjoy school!

After Peking House we went to Scoopy’s for some ice cream. (Don’t tell the rest of my fam. We didn’t confess that part. Haha) The lady at the ice cream counter had been one of Lydia’s substitutes at Rhea Central and gave her her ice cream for free! So sweet!

My baby! She’s growing up on me!

She got some awards…let’s see if I can remember what they were. She got a medal for having all A’s this year. She had the second highest average, 97.25. She also got an honorable mention art award. I think that was it. She is SUCH a hard worker! (At school at least. Ha!)

She’s moving up to middle school! Can’t hardly believe it!

Just for the record, I started crying before she even walked into the gym. I am such an emotional mess!  But we are so proud of her and so thankful for her wonderful time in elementary school!
 

Anna Kate’s Awards!

Anna Kate had the best year in 2nd grade! She loved her teacher, Mrs. Farnsworth!

She got the second highest average in her class for the year, 97.5. She also got second place in Accelerated Reader, and her classmates voted for her to win the Citizenship Award!

We are so very proud of all of Anna Kate’s hard work! She is one smart cookie!

 

Summer Time!

Hello! Happy summer to you! Sorry I’ve been MIA. Things got a little busy at the end of the school year. My girls finished 2nd and 5th grades! I shed just a few tears. Haha!

We celebrated our first day of summer together at Master Donuts. Delish!

Almost Summer!

We’re in the single digit countdown to summer break, so the boys and I are trying to soak up our last bit of sister-less time together. 

Joel built a new platform for the zip line. Still makes me very nervous, but the kids love it!

We’ve been enjoying our walking track trips and story hour time with friends.

Summer is coming!

 

AWANA Awards!

The kids finished up their AWANA books and got awards last week. I must say, I’m ready for a break. Memorizing all those verses is hard work!

Lydia finished her third book in T&T, only one more book to go. Anna Kate finished her last Sparks book. And Steven finished a Cubbie book…really only his first bc he dropped out last year for an earlier bedtime. 

And here’s a flashback to hurt your heart a little…or maybe it’s just my heart it hurts. Haha! Seven short years ago. 

 

Pre-K!

Steven got to go to a practice day of pre-k, and he loved it!

 

FCF!

We decided to have a little family getaway before the goal gal weekend, so we rented the house an extra night, checked the girls out of school early, and headed to Fall Creek Falls.

We made hobo stew, hot dogs, and banana boats. 

We explored Fall Creek Falls and played on some playgrounds. 

We had an all around great time. The only problem was that it went by way too quickly! We’ll have to plan for a longer visit next time.
