Christmas Lights!

This past weekend we got to enjoy a drive through Christmas light show here in good ol Dayton, TN!

After the lights , we got to visit Mr. and Mrs. Claus, drink hot cocoa, and walk through a live nativity!

Anna Kate was not interested in sitting on Mrs. Claus’ lap!

Extra thankful for my Daddy this Christmas season!

Funny thing happened here.

Someone had just touched up Lydia’s reindeer, so right after this picture was taken, Lydia came out with paint all over her hands and a ring of paint around her face. Ha!

Christmas is coming full speed ahead!

The Moms for Moms Christmas party was today.  We split into teams and played Christmas Survivor.  I was my team’s whistler for one challenge. I thought I could win that easily, but the crackers really slowed me down!

Lydia’s school Christmas program is tonight!  I’ll either be proud and shedding tears of joy, or I’ll be crying tears of embarrassment if she refuses to go on the stage. We shall see.  I’m braced for either. Haha!

I can’t believe it’s already November! Time is flying!

Lydia has her first piece of artwork hanging in the hall at school.

Only 8/80 kindergarteners’ self-portraits are displayed, so I’m pretty proud. :)

My little budding artist. She currently wants to be an art teacher when she grows up.

I had the same dream in early elementary...it changed when I realized I wasn’t quite as artistic as I thought I was. :)

These are my fourth graders. Some of my favorites!

We made a volcano last week, because we had been reading about Mount Vesuvius.

It was pretty entertaining!

Lydia studied the letter P last week at school, 

so on Friday she got to wear her pajamas to school!

And she got to decorate a glittery pumpkin!

She sure is having a fun time in kindergarten!
