High School Lydia!

Lydia and I went to high school orientation last week. Ahhhh!!!

We saw our smarty pants cousin/nephew on display. So proud!

Steven Spotlight!

Steven is playing soccer this spring and doing great!

His top teeth are growing in, and I’m feeling sad about his toothless smile going away 

So I keep taking excessive photos to document his cuteness, or whatever you’d call this. Haha!

And here we have Steven blowing bubbles at school. His teacher is having a 26 day countdown to summer…a different letter theme every day. This was day B, bubbles and basketball. 

Today’s letter is E, exercise and estimation. Ha!
 

Goal Gal Getaway!

I’m back!!!!! I have not been able to get this silly blog to work for months and months! Finally today I decided I was going to get it going, and by some miracle I did!

So here we go, we’ve got some catching up to do!

This past weekend we had our semi-annual Goal Gal Getaway. It’s a dear group of friends from church (mostly). We used to set goals for ourselves and have a friendly competition, but now we mainly just hang out. So the weekend preparations started by making what we call the brownies of doom. I forgot to buy marshmallows, and Joel had to run to the store late Thursday night. Whoops! But it was worth it.  So delicious!

These were the first to arrive at our cabin. Courtney came all the way from Arkansas! Amanda prepared a delicious feast for us to enjoy!

A couple more trickled in, and we had a surprise party to celebrate Amanda’s 40th birthday, complete with Amanda themed games. 

Breakfast the next morning. The weather was perfect!

We went on our traditional hike at Fall Creek Falls. 

And here’s our beautiful cabin. It was so nice!

We had the best time! It was so good to be together, as always. Already looking forward to the next one.
