Benjamin!

Benjamin picked some daisies in the backyard last night and took them to his teachers this morning. So sweet!

My goodness, he’s cute!
This boy can entertain himself for hours outside. He loves to catch things in the creek.
He also loves helping his daddy! Joel let him help trim the bushes.
We had “Muffins for Mom” yesterday, and his teacher made me several gifts.

So, so sweet! This year of pre-k has been the absolute best!
These are two of his friends who I watched before our muffins, since it didn’t start til 9.
Such a sweet day with my sweet boy!

Band Concert!

Lydia and Anna Kate had a band concert last week. We dropped them off to practice beforehand, and the rest of us went to Zaxby’s for dinner. And what a surprise! We ran into Josiah running the cash register! We were so excited to see him there!
He was doing such a good job! Proud aunt alert!
He snuck some Rice Krispies into our bag for the boys. They were thrilled!
Then we headed to the band concert. Anna Kate was up first. She was the star of the show, in my humble opinion.

Next up was 6th-8th grade. And again somehow Lydia was also the star of the show. Ha! Maybe I’m a little biased and also partial to clarinet players. Brings back such fond memories every time I hear a nice, loud clarinet squeak. Haha
During the show, Steven drew characters from Toy Story to entertain Micah. So cute!

Lydia’s last middle school concert. Tear. We’ll see if she makes it to a high school concert. Fingers crossed.
Oh and I forgot to mention, Eleonora was the star of the flute section! She was definitely giving Jessica vibes tooting on her flute.
And there ya have it. Lovely evening!

Prince of Egypt!

Way back at the end of February, we went to see “The Prince of Egypt” at Walker Valley High School.
Holy moly! It was incredible!!!
A friend from camp was in the play, which is how we knew about it.

It was so good that we went back the next day to see it again!
Jessica and I still listen to the soundtrack at school quite regularly. My girls get on to me for singing the songs so often. Haha Man, I just love a good musical! We can’t wait to find out what they’re planning for next year.

Amanda’s 40th!

We had another 40th birthday surprise party for Amanda at Heidi’s house a while back. So fun!

It was disguised as a book exchange party, which was also so much fun!

I have the best, sweetest friends!

North Shore!

We went to visit the Shibley’s new church last Sunday and got to see their kids get baptized. Afterwards, we walked over to Coolidge Park for a picnic and found out the carousel is free on Sundays. That was a thrill!
We rode it so many times in a row that I started feeling queasy.

It was a wonderful day!
