Matchy Matchy!

Today we got to hang out with Eleonora while Jessica and Caleb visited the zoo.  The girls have been having so much fun together!  And they sure look cute in their matching outfits!

Buns & Piggies!

Jessica gave Anna Kate her first tiny buns!
And then gave some to Lydia too.
Eleonora had just squirted herself in the head with the spray bottle.
I'm a pro at getting group shots.....ha!

Bathroom Babies!

And let's not forget this little stinker, posing on the pot.  She will only keep her hooded towel on her head for a moment, so it's a bit harder to catch a picture of her as a purple panda.

Mayfield!

After our playground and picnic adventure, Heather and I decided to continue the Athens fun by heading over to Mayfields for some ice cream.

A deliciously good time was had by all!

Athens Playground!

After Ponds and Plants, we continued our adventure by going to the huge Athens playground.

It was cold and windy, but we still had fun!

And then we feasted on Buddy's Barbecue.  Delish!  (Lovely group shot, I know.)
Happy weekend!!!

Ponds and Plants!

Another spring break adventure we went on was to this odd little pet store/kennel/landscaping business that is called Ponds and Plants.
The owners are straight from Australia...no idea what brought them to Dayton, TN!
They have created quite an eclectic little kingdom full of interesting animals and things.
Tepees, kayaks, peacocks, fish, ducks, pigs, emus, an alligator, a kookaburra, huge snakes and turtles, prairie dogs, etc.  Stange place, I tell ya!
But we sure did have a good time exploring the place!

You should all go see for yourself.  It's quite a place!

Wooden Playground!

During the boys' spring break, we visited several playgrounds, the first being a big wooden playground in Soddy Daisy.
I believe it was built when I was in high school, because I remember Daddy taking Heather and me and forcing us to play, even though we were embarrassed!

The kids all loved it, and I think we only ended up with one splinter in Caleb...not too bad.

To Grandmother's House We Went!

A few weeks ago, on St. Patrick's Day to be exact, the girls and I got to go on a quick visit to Grandmother's house.
Anna Kate got to taste the most delicious food in the world, Grandmother's green beans!  She was a fan!
Lydia enjoyed some tasty ice cream!
The next morning, Daddy got right down to business doing some yard work.
Lydia decided to lend a helping hand.
I think I rode this same scooter at her age.  It goes way back!
Always gotta have some big wheel action while in Kingsport!
Lydia helped, or at least watched, Grandmother make some delicious Baptist pies.
And also assisted in making some sweet tea.
She was obviously thrilled to be with Grandmother in her kitchen, as anyone would be!
Anna Kate liked playing on the steps.
And before ya know it, it was time to head back home.  Always a little sad to wave goodbye to Grandmother and Aunt Faye.  They are dear to my heart!
But don't worry, we accidentally left behind Lydia's favorite sippy cup, so we'll just have to go back soon for another visit to retrieve it! :)
