Cousinly Love!

Have I mentioned how much Josiah and Caleb love Lydia?
It is soooo cute!
They always want to hold her, pat her, and kiss her!
They also love to take care of her.
Here she is with the added touches of a flower on her shirt
and a headband on her head.
ha!

Andrew & Chelsea's Wedding!

When Lydia was three weeks old,
we headed down to Louisiana for Joel's brother's wedding.
It was another loooong trip, but Lydia did great!
Lydia got all dressed up for the wedding but wasn't too happy about getting her picture taken.
The wedding was at an old cotton mill, which was pretty cool!
Everything was decorated very cute-ly!
It was very hot outside!
Lydia cried through the whole rehearsal, but she slept through the wedding.
What a relief!
The Habermas brothers!
It was a beautiful wedding
and one of the best ceremonies I've ever been to!
Cutting the cakes!
So cute!
Andrew drew this for Chelsea. Wowsers!!!
Joel made this for one of their wedding gifts:
Those Habermas boys are talented I tell ya!

Nertz!

Back when I was pregnant, especially during the last week,
I would go to camp and play Nertz with Jessica and Rebecca.
It was lots of fun!
One day, after Lydia was born, Josiah decided that Lydia wanted to play cards too.
I looked over and saw this:
hahaha!

Luau!

During the last week of camp,
the staff had a luau at the pool.
Lydia didn't like being quite so hot,
but we had to get her in that cute suit!
Aunt Jessica is really good at getting Lydia to relax!
During our first week at home (after the beach trip),
I would sometimes think to myself, "if only Jessica was here!"
Future CSBC camper! :)
Maybe she'll learn to swim in this pool, just like I did!

Great Grandaddy!

We got to visit Kingsport a couple times this summer.
Once was to celebrate my grandparents 84th and 89th birthdays!
This is my Grandaddy!
And sadly, this is the only picture I took.
Jessica took more, which I have in print,
but they might never make it into blogland.
Sorry Grandmother!
We sure do love you all and had such a great time visiting you!

Meeting the Traceys!

Dave, Shannon , Jonathan, and Madison came for a couple visits this summer.
Look how incredibly cute this picture is!
The boys had some fun kayaking in the pool!
Come back for more fun next week!
(Man, I'm on a roll!)

First Bath!

Lydia's umbilical cord fell off while we were at the beach,
so when we got home she had her first bath.
As you can see, she didn't love it,
but I wouldn't say she hated it either.
Scrub-a-dub!
Lydia's in the tub!

Beach Trip!

If you'll remember back to the story of Lydia's birth, you might remember reason #3 of why I wanted to be induced...so that we could go on vacation!  We came home on Saturday from the hospital and left home on Monday, headed for Charleston, South Carolina!  We must have been outside of our minds.  I'm sure I was!  It was supposed to be a 7 1/2 hour trip.  It took us 11 because of all the stops to feed Lydia.  Overall, it was a very smooth trip!  We were both exhausted when we arrived, but it really couldn't have gone any better.  Once we got to the beach house, we were able to kick back and relax.  It was really great to have so many people to take turns holding Lydia.  I don't think anyone minded too much.  I was able to take naps and shower in peace.  It was lovely!  Well, really I was a bit stressed, but I think it would have been much worse if I was home.  So, although we stayed inside the house nearly the entire week, I'd say it was a wonderful vacation.  I'm so happy we were able to go and spend time with my family!

Home Sweet Home!

After arriving home and taking Lydia on a tour,
(she fell asleep half way through...oh well)
both of our families came for another visit.
Here is Uncle Chris, since I forgot to take a picture of him in the hospital.
Cousin Caleb LOVES baby Lydia!
Back to my auntly duties!

Hospital Life!

Here is Lydia in her first real outfit.
I couldn't believe how cute she looked!
And after two nights in the hospital after she was born,
we finally got to go home!
I was so happy to get out of there!
It seemed like we stayed forever and a day!
We asked a nurse to take a picture of us before we left,
but it didn't turn out so well.
So here is our own attempt at a family portrait.
(This is after many failed attempts!)
All ready for the trip home!
She slept the whole way!
Tune in next week for some more Lydia-ness.

Honeycutt Visitors!

Here are the lovely Honeycutt visitors!

I'm pretty sure the title of "Lydia's #1 Fan" goes to Caleb! :)

And we can't forget my dearest friend Ashley! :)
Look at all the lovely flowers and cards we got!
We felt so loved! :)
And since we were staying in the Mimosa Suite,
Jessica brought us a beautiful bouquet of mimosa. Ha!

Habermas Visitors!

Our first visitors were Habermas family members.
Here are Lydia's Granddad and Grandmom!
I think that's what they want to be called...
we'll see how that goes!  :)
Uncle Andrew and Aunt Chelsea!
We traveled down to Louisiana for their wedding a few weeks later.
(More to come in the future about that!)
Uncle Matthew!
(He actually came later in the evening with Chris, but he's a Habermas, so he belongs with this post. :) )
Uncle Jared was in the Dominican Republic when Lydia arrived, so he missed it.  Sad!
Here he is a few days later, visiting at our house.
Such a happy Habermas family!  :)
