Dentist!

Yesterday afternoon these little nuts were playing in our cold creek!
They had the best time!
But the most exciting part of our day was taking all four kids to the dentist. This was the boys’ first visit, and they both did great!

Anna Kate drew Bluey when we got home. She always wants me to document her work.

It was a good day!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated Daddy’s birthday yesterday at Pizza King. The kids won these silly ducks in a claw machine.
Lydia and Buzz were twinning!
After dinner we partied in the family room with delicious chocolate cake.
And the boys just happened to be matching on Sunday for church, so I thought I’d throw that in there too.
It was a lovely long weekend!

Sunday School!

Momma and I have been having a really good time in Sunday School lately. Haha!
We’ve got some loud students.
But on the plus side, we gained a really handsome, super well behaved student two weeks ago. Ha! He finally cried his way out of his last class. Only took him two and a half years! He persevered to the finish line, and we’re glad to have him!

Happy V-day!

Joel surprised me by stopping by my school with the boys yesterday! They got to hang out for our kindergarten party, which was perfect!
Steven celebrated at his school the day before with a big pizza party.
After school yesterday, we came home and played with the neighbors. It was beautiful outside!
Flashback to Super Bowl Sunday…Joel made us a delicious feast!!!
This is a picture of Anna Kate’s class party. Poor Lydia didn’t get a valentines party. Sad day!
One of my new students had her hair all curled up for Valentine’s Day, so I had to get her picture of course!
We had bbq potatoes and broccoli for dinner. Delish!

It was a happy Valentine’s Day indeed!

Anna Kate’s Birthday!

Anna Kate lucked out on her actual birthday (1-23) and got another snow day! So we partied all day long! By this point, we could finally get out of our driveway, so we ventured to McDonald’s for a play date with the fam. It was our first time being together in 11 days!
The day before, Lydia somehow dropped Anna Kate straight onto her head on the hardwood floor while attempting some type of circus trick. My first thought was, “oh no! She’s going to have a big bump in all her birthday pictures.” Haha. As you can tell, I’m a very concerned mother. Actually, it was concerning. Yikes! The knot was huge!!!
Anyways, it looked much, much better by the next morning. So we celebrated with donuts and presents!
My pictures are jumbled, as usual. For dinner, we went to Delia’s! We hadn’t planned on eating out twice in one day, but it definitely turned into a day of feasting.

Our sweet neighbor put up these fun yard signs for Anna Kate. She slipped on ice and injured her wrist in the process. Whoops!

Steven was so excited to be with his “favorite cousin”…don’t tell the others.

She was excited to get her free Delia’s dessert, even though they were too busy to sing to her this year. Bummer!
And lastly, a quick pic of Olaf and Elsa. So cute!

Valentine’s Dance!

Lydia decided that she wanted to go to the Valentine’s Day Dance at school. I wasn’t sure what she’d think of the whole experience, but it turned out that she loved it!
She went with Jessica’s twin neighbors, Mary and Leah. I’d say they’re one (or two, I guess) of the main reasons that she had a great time!
I think I tucked myself a little too far behind Lydia. Haha Her shoes made her alllllmost as tall as me!
Jessica did her hair. So lovely!

We walked the girls to the dance from Jessica’s house. They were all so cute, clutching their tickets.
I had asked Caleb if he would go with her, and he said, “This ain’t Alabama!” Haha! Good one, Caleb.

Everyone keeps saying she looks just like me, but I’ve just gotta say, I wasn’t half that pretty in 6th grade! I think we’re in trouble! Haha

I think her favorite part was the teacher dance-off. Sounds pretty entertaining. I’m glad she had such a good time!
