Final Pool Party!

We had our last pool party of the year yesterday.

Benjamin doesn’t make it to the pool very often because of his naptime, so he had to be well documented. 

Goodbye pool, until next summer! 

 

Twinning at the Track!

Heather and I were wondering how long it would be before we showed up in matching shirts at the walking track. Turns out, it didn’t take us too long!

 

Chuck E Cheese!

We got to go to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese on Saturday! There were 6 parties going on at the same time, so it was a bit chaotic. But the kids loved it, of course!

 

Playground!

Joel’s playground is coming right along! He painted it light blue, the color of our front door. The kids have been loving it!

Lydia figured out how to double decker swing with Benjamin. We were always hanging his swing on her swing chains, and she finally realized they could swing at the same time!

When he wants to go play, Benjamin has been putting on two shoes (whichever ones he can find…as you can see, he’s got on one of Anna Kate’s! I would have fixed it, but I couldn’t find his other monkey shoe either. Poor boy has outgrown all his shoes and sandals!) Then he will bring me my shoes and start pointing to the door. It reminds me of a dog wanting to go on a walk. (Not that I’ve ever taken a dog on a walk, but it seems like it might be similar.) 

Joel is now working on putting railroad ties around the playground, and then he will fill it with something…haven’t decided what yet. Right now it’s red dirt, which is a mess! Lots of good times ahead! Happy weekend!!!

 

Food City Fun!

 

Rebrickable!

Yesterday Josiah told me about a website called rebrickable. You type in which Lego set you have, and it gives you instructions to build hundreds of other things using the pieces you have. So we looked up Steven’s dinosaur set, and he decided to make a grasshopper. Really cool!

I sent the picture to Josiah to thank him for new ways to keep Steven busy, and not long after, he sent me the picture below.

Walking Track (Again)!

Not too much going on around here to photograph these days, so here are my boys and company once again at the walking track. Every time we pull up, Steven says, again?! He might as well get used to it, at least until it gets too cold and I wimp out. We’ve been having perfect weather lately, and it’s so nice to go on a morning stroll!

 

Josiah’s 1st Game!

Josiah played the trumpet and marched at his first football game on Friday. The girls had green and gold day at school to support their cousin. 

Proud aunt alert!

We got soaked right before the game started. I mean soaked!! But it was worth it, of course!

We are not Eagles fans, so it was a little painful to cheer for the wrong team (Soddy Daisy Trojan fans through and through). But I will always cheer for my Josiah, even if he is wearing green and gold. 

 

Walking Track!

The boys and I have started meeting up with Heather and Laurel twice a week at the walking track after we drop off the girls at school. It’s so fun living the stay at home mom dream out with Heather! My stay at home mommying years have matched up with Jessica and now Heather! Just goes to show you that being the middle child is actually the best!

Look at this cuteness! I realize I keep posting way too many pictures of Benjamin, but I can just never pick my favorite!

Lots of striped pajamas! I never have time to get the boys dressed after I’ve gotten myself and the girls ready for the day. I can only get so much done before 7:45! Of course I could wake up earlier, but I prefer the pajama option. Ha

We also got to eat dinner at church with Heather and Laurel, which was fun! 

I’m so glad my boys have a cousin close in age to them. I think they’ll be buddies forever!

 

My Boys!

Benjamin is still loving water play. A bit of a mess, but I was able to get myself ready and do my hair while he played, so I guess the extra outfit change was worth it. 

Steven occasionally gets in the mood to dress up like Catboy (a character from a cartoon show he watches) and zoom around the house at high speeds. Pretty cute! He said his costume must be shrinking, because it’s

starting to get tight. Let’s just go with that and not think about the fact that my baby boy is growing up! Ha

Benjamin is still pretty much mute, and Steven talks and sings nonstop from dawn til dusk! But Benjamin is finally starting to say lots more words, and he can repeat almost anything. He just usually chooses to remain silent…which kinda reminds me of his father, now that I think about it. Haha! Love my boys! 

 

Anna Kate at School!

Well it’s starting to happen…I’m running out of things to blog about. But I’ve gotta get my daily blog check, so here I go anyways! 

Anna Kate’s teacher is so good about sending me pictures. Actually, the silly picture above was sent by a different teacher friend. Haha I love seeing pictures of Anna Kate at school! She is loving second grade!

Last Day of Summer Fun!

The day before school started, I told the girls they could pick out activities for a day of fun!

These pictures are all jumbled up, but we started the day at Master Donuts. Then we went to our “secret playground.” There are hardly ever any people there, which we like. Haha Then we went to McDonald’s for lunch and to play in the play land. After that we had to head home for Benjamin’s nap. (Can’t miss that!) For dinner that night, we had our “back to school feast,” which keeps getting less elaborate as the years go by. But if was delicious nonetheless, and there were school supplies as decorations, so we’ll call it a win!

A good time was had by all!
