Anna Kate’s Rainbow Party!

We had to postpone Anna Kate’s party, due to the snow. So she was extra excited when the big day finally arrived!

My pictures are all jumbled, as usual, so I guess we’ll just skip ahead to the best part…my rainbow cake was a success!!!

We were sad to be missing the Shibleys for the first time ever. They were off visiting Grandmother. 

I was super nervous the cake was gonna be a flop!

The girls and I had great fun decorating the place with Momma. Turned it into a rainbow wonderland!

Look at silly Benjamin sticking his head out. That boy is always trying to get a laugh. 

Rainbow fruit tray. We have never had fruit leftover, and this time we had tons! Can anyone guess why?? Caleb Shibley wasn’t present. Haha!

I think I may have overdocumented the birthday girl. 

I had no idea these letters were going to be so huge! Lydia blew them all up and strung them! Oh, and she made the white balloon arch by herself too! She’s becoming my new party decorating sidekick. 

Anna Kate was very excited to have a Habermas cousin at her party for the first time!

Puzzles!

Steven made me a puzzle during one of our many snow days. It was very difficult!

He was inspired by Anna Kate, who was working on a surprise puzzle for me. 

So sweet! Even has a puzzle guide and a box!

 

Another Snow Day!

Our snow has stuck around for 6 days now! 

Absolutely crazy!

I love the way the snow built up on the playhouse steps!

Anna Kate has been looking so cute in the snow! She reminds me of Cindy Lou Who from the newest Grinch when she’s all bundled up. 

Poor Benjamin can barely see out from under his hat.

The snow has a layer of ice on top. 

Sledding on our bellies was the most fun and exciting!

Steven looks like he’s wearing a shirt of ice. 

We did a quadruple sled ride. Very fun!

I haven’t left the house in 8 days! And I haven’t been to school in 9! This is the life!
 

Snow Day!

We just got over 6 inches of snow! What a surprise!

We spent the morning playing with our sweet neighbor Caroline and her parents. 

My pictures are out of order. At the very end of the day, we made snow cream. It wasn’t the best batch, bc the condensed milk was sold out at Walmart. When I went out to get the bowl of snow, I couldn’t even find it. It was completely buried in snow! Haha 

A neighbor two doors down let us borrow their sleds!

This thing was a hit! It flew down the hill!

The big kids and I went out to play a second time. Benjamin and Joel decided to stay warm inside. 

The trees behind the girls were SO beautiful covered in snow!

There were huge snowflakes falling for hours today! So fun to watch!

Steven and I built a snowman. Benjamin named him Frosty. 

On Saturday, Caleb came over and played with my boys. He is the sweetest! Look how tall he is!

We had the best time!!!

No school tomorrow or Wednesday, and I sure wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel the whole week!

Yay for snow!!!

 

ESL Christmas!

My students and I had the best time celebrating Christmas together! They were so sweet and appreciative!

I missed getting pictures of a few students.
